Accommodation

Oakwood Terrace has four, single floor, separate nursing units with their own dining and lounge areas. There are three general units and one unit specially designed to accommodate residents with Alzheimer's Disease. All accommodations are on the ground floor level, providing easy access to all areas within the home as well as the outside garden areas. There are several garden areas for residents and families to enjoy. The unit specializing in Alzheimer's care has it’s own garden which is specially designed for the residents.

Oakwood Terrace provides private and shared accommodation. The Nurse Managers assign the private rooms, usually on a first come, first served basis, but in some cases private rooms are assigned for medical reasons. Residents may bring a few personal items into Oakwood to make their space more comfortable. e.g. pictures, lamp, chair and a favorite comforter for the bed. Oakwood Terrace provides the bed, dresser and bedside table. Televisions, phone and newspapers are permitted, but are the responsibility of the resident/family to arrange.
