From 6th July 2022, there is a significant easing of the COVID-19 restrictions within the province of Nova Scotia.

From Wednesday 6th July at 8am the following changes will be implemented at Oakwood:

  • All visitors will be allowed to visit residents of the home regardless of vaccination status.

  • There will be no screening of vaccination status when entering the home.

  • All visitors will be issued a medical mask and be expected to wear the mask throughout the duration of the visit inside the building.

  • There will be no requirement to wear a mask outside of the Oakwood Terrace building.

  • Visitors will be able to visit home from 8am-8pm, 7 days per week.

  • Visitors are capped at 3 visitors at one time per resident, this is due to space constraints at Oakwood Terrace.

Oakwood is currently clear of all cases of COVID-19. We want to keep it that way for the safety of everyone associated with Oakwood Terrace, we ask that you please do not visit if you are unwell.

If Oakwood Terrace experiences a COVID-19 outbreak Public Health restrictions are likely to be swift and significant.
