Oakwood continues to be in a COVID-19 outbreak. Case count is steady with 10 patients and 5 staff recognised as active cases.
Starting Friday (28th January 2022), we will be admitting a maximum of 1 DCG per resident for A, B and D Unit. C Unit remains closed due to case volume.
The following DCG visit requirements will be in place:
1 consistent DCG will be admitted per resident.
All DCG’s need to be fully vaccinated in order to visit Oakwood Terrace.
All visits are restricted to the hours of 10am-3pm.
DCG visits are permitted during these times 7 days per week.
Last DCG admission will be 2pm.
All DCG’s are expected to leave the facility prior to 3pm.
All DCG’s will be issued PPE which they are expected to wear for the duration of their visit.
All DCG’s will need to take part in a twice weekly PCR testing program.
DCG’s should not be visiting the facility if they are unwell and/or a close contract of known COVID-19 or if Public Health advice restricts movement.
It is important to remember that these restrictions could be changed at short notice.
Please stagger visit times to reduce the amount of time required to complete the screening, PPE and testing process.
